DJ TWITCH

DJ Twitch was born in Auckland, New Zealand but raised in Logan, Brisbane, Australia. He is Samoan but has roots tracing back to Niue, Tonga, and the Solomon Islands. His family's journey took them from Samoa to New Zealand and eventually to Brisbane, Australia.

Growing up in a lively church setting, where his father led the band and his uncle served as the pastor, he was surrounded by music from a young age. By the time he was 10, he had already mastered the piano, guitar, bass, and vocals, regularly performing with the church band.

In 2015, DJ Twitch's musical journey took a significant turn when he received a DJ controller from his cousin, DJ Trigger T. Initially influenced by gospel, pop, R&B, and hip-hop, he soon embraced the vibrant sounds of island reggae, which would deeply influence his musical style. Today, his unique sound is a fusion of R&B, hip-hop, pop, island reggae, and afrobeats.

March 2016 marked the release of DJ Twitch's first DJ mixtape, "Island Reggae Bangaz Part 1," which quickly amassed over 220,000 plays on SoundCloud. This debut earned him considerable recognition within the Brisbane music scene, leading to residencies at local clubs and performances at major concerts. His talent soon brought him to Palmerston North, New Zealand, where he became the resident DJ at The Royal Hotel and the touring DJ for Aotearoa Entertainment, showcasing his skills at well-known festivals like East Coast Vibes and Kuki Festival. DJ Twitch also played at Gold Coast's premier music festival, Promiseland, in 2024, as well as the Summer Frequencies music festival in NZ in 2025.

In 2019, he expanded his influence in the music industry by establishing an indie record label. He currently manages three artists and has ventured into music production, releasing a variety of singles and cover songs. In 2023, he debuted his first original track, a heartfelt tribute to his late father, which received widespread acclaim.

Looking ahead, DJ Twitch is committed to completing his music projects, nurturing the careers of the artists he manages, and transitioning from DJing to operating music studios. His ultimate aim is to honor his family's sacrifices, elevate their legacy, and create opportunities for future generations. Through his passion for music and entrepreneurship, DJ Twitch aspires to inspire others and leave a lasting mark on the industry.​
